Knowledge is power!

There is a saying: Aller Anfang ist schwer! (“All beginnings are difficult!”)

Of course, it is difficult to get used to a new country, new conditions, and new environment. This may be the hardest part, especially if you have to change your profession. Frankly, I did not experience many of these difficulties. I saw this new life as a chance and dived into the world I had been wandering around for many years.

However, it was my duty to help my colleagues who were experiencing this difficulty. Although I tried to support those who contacted me as much as I could, I thought that an organized program would be best. And I contacted the Volenteer Jurist association, of which my colleagues from Turkey are members, and organized 2 different events. In order to make these seminars more beneficial, I persuaded those who had experienced similar conditions and found what they wanted in their new lives as speakers.

They accepted my offer with great sincerity and shared their experiences with people who had not yet decided what kind of job they would do. I was happy to hear that the seminars with intense participation were very useful for the participants.

Some decided that the IT field was right for them, while others were confused by thinking that it did not suit them. This was the goal I wanted to achieve. Since people could not access sufficient and clear information, they could not decide whether they could work in the IT field. At the end of these seminars, everyone had at least an idea in their minds.

What’s even better is that a friend of mine called me last week and said that after these seminars, he started to receive training in the IT field, and at the end of the training, he signed his first contract with a company. This made me very happy.

I hope everyone can do something they want.
