Übung macht den Meister

There is a proverb in German that I like very much. “Übung macht den Meister”. I can understand the exact meaning of this statement much better when I look at the point I have reached in calligraphy. Unfortunately, the place where I learned this art and the person who taught me have a painful story. For this reason, the value of this art to me is completely different. However, just loving something is not enough. If you want to advance in a field, you have to practice constantly.

A weightlifter, while talking about the World Championship in his television speech, requested that the presenter also mention his previous third and second places. He said that these second and third places brought him to the championship. It was an effective speech for me.
I can also see my journey in calligraphy from the gift plates I wrote on.

I tried to improve myself in every subject I spent time with. First of all, I thought that gifts should not only consist of people’s names, then I wondered why some pictures were not added to these gifts and did some experiments.

After a busy and tiring day, doing some drawing was good to relieve the tiredness of the day.

Most of these drawings are from 2018. Isn’t it surprising that so much progress has occurred in a short time? I keep fighting… and I welcome new trials.
